Experience Layers
In a moving space, we separate the virtual world into different Experience Layers. This makes sense because certain aspects of the experience are driven by different real-world anchors and therefore have a different impact on the user’s perception of motion and orientation. Even though they are distinct layers they all follow the same holoride Design Principles. In short, those principles cover world references, general motion flow, and technical rules. You can read more about the holoride Design Principles here.
Some layers are mandatory, others are optional.
Mandatory Layers
- Elastic Environment
- Vehicle Floor and Vehicle Console (part of the vehicle volume)
Optional Layers
- 2D Canvas
- Vehicle (part of the vehicle volume)
In this section, we explain each of these layers.
